Eager Labs, 2017 to 2026
My work coaching leaders continues with private sessions
If you found your way here from Eager Labs, welcome. I’m Sean Lindsay. I founded Eager Labs, and I still coach leaders one on one, many of whom I first met in a cohort.
What Eager Labs was
Michelle Campbell and I started Eager Labs in 2017 to help companies build feedback and talent programs. That work kept running into the same gap. Companies were promoting great individual contributors into management and then handing them very little help.
So in 2019 we launched live online cohorts. Small groups of managers from different companies met every other week for five sessions, worked through real problems together, and practiced what they learned between sessions. There were three programs, for people about to manage, for newer managers, and for managers of managers.
More than 1,000 leaders went through them, and many companies sent every manager they had. Almost everyone finished (96% of cohort members), and about a third of new memberships came from referrals.
“I’ve learned more about how to be an effective manager in the first two sessions of this program than in my entire MBA.”
Some kept going one on one
Kitt, Vinoj, and Unmesh each started in a cohort and went on to work with me privately.
“Sean played a pivotal role in my career journey from Engineering Manager to Director to VP. Sessions with him allowed me to define my roles, focus my goals, better understand the interpersonal relationships in our organization and to grow the team from 20 to 75 people.”
Kitt CaffallVP of Engineering at Customer.io“I worked with Sean to strengthen my skills as an engineering leader, and his advice was practical, specific, and timely. He helped me become better for the people I serve.”
Vinoj ZachariaDirector of Software Engineering at FloQast“It’s great to have specific examples of how he has dealt with similar situations previously and help me think through to second order solutions. I highly recommend a coach to anyone who is thrust into a more senior leadership position than they are used to.”

Private coaching is three months of sessions every other week, built around whatever you’re dealing with right now.
